Left-handed keyboard
no matter which provider you choose, all so-called left-handed keyboards look like this. The number field is on the left side, but not mirrored to a normal keyboard. That's only half the battle.
It should be possible to make the number field a mirror image so that the field can be used analogously to the right hand with the same key assignments for the individual fingers.

That's correct. This is because most manufacturers understand the numeric keypad as one unit and then move it completely to the left. The layout of the number keys on a numeric keypad is similar to the layout of the keys on a calculator keyboard. This (right-hander friendly) convention was simply adopted.
